well made wine openers remove the cork with just the pull of a lever and
re-cork your bottle by pulling the lever in the opposite direction.
I have owned a Rogar Wine Opener for over ten years and love it. It still
works very well, and always draws the attention of our guests. The
re-corking feature is a big plus when a good bottle is not finished. I
have found that some corks will swell when out of the bottle for an hour
or more and will not fit back into the bottle, but most natural corks and
all man-made corks work well. A foilcutter (available at the bottom of this
section) is recommended because the foil must be removed before opening a
bottle to avoid unnecessary wear on the opener. One model comes with a table
stand for mounting the wine opener. The two other models do not come with a
stand, so you might want to consider the Hardwood Tripod (Below) or plan
where you will mount your new Wine Opener. It will mount to any surface up to 2 inches
thick (most kitchen counter tops, and bars). WP
